Welcome To Coyote Creek Christian Academy

At CCCA our children learn through a blend of two classical education models.

The first model is that of Charlotte Mason, a classical educator of European decent born in 1842.  Two key principles from her classical model are:"Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life" and "Education is the science of relations." She believed that children were born persons and should be respected as such; they should also be taught the Way of the Will and the Way of Reason. Her motto for students was "I am, I can, I ought, I will."

The second model is that of the Thomas Jefferson Education.  This model breaks learning up into five phases (See Below) and places it's emphisis on the reading and interpretation of classical literature in order to learn to think on one's own.

1.  Core Phase (ages birth – 8 yrs.)
2.  Love of Learning Phase (8 yrs. – 12 yrs.)
3.  Scholar Phase (12 yrs. – 16 yrs.)
4.  Depth Phase (College or equivalent)
5.  Mission Phase (Change the World).

Using a blend of these two classical education models has afforeded my wife and I the ability to see our children grow in their love of reading, listening to classical music, their appriciation for nature and their connection with the Almighty God.
